Rescue Diver

You have in all probability reached the stage where you are comfortable in the water and sure of your own level of Diving skills.
The time is right for your to take the Padi Rescue Diver Course.





As an Advanced Open Water Diver or even an Advanced Plus Diver you have taken the knowledge to dive safely that was learnt in Open Water Course. You have progressed by increasing your experience of Diving by sampling some of the many differing types of diving that is available to you. You have in all probability reached the stage where you are comfortable in the water and sure of your own level of Diving skills.

Now is the time to increase your ability to look after yourself and to take added responsibility for your Buddy. The time is right for your to take the Padi Rescue Diver Course.

This course consists of Four Academic Modules which are:

  • Self Rescue & Diver Stress
  • Diving First Aid 
  • Emergency Management
  • Equipment Considerations

followed by a Multiple choice final Quiz.

  • We then go to Open Water over a weekend and Perform 10 Open Water exercises
  • Tired Diver 
  • Panicked Diver
  • Response from Shore/Boat
  • Distress Under Water
  • Missing Diver
  • Surface Unconscious Diver
  • Unconscious Diver at Surface
  • Exit with unconscious diver
  • First Aid Pressure Accidents
  • Unconscious Diver response

followed by two scenarios in which you get the chance to demonstrate your readiness to deal with a diving incident.

This course is mainly based on self study and what you feel is correct for you. Our Instructors will demonstrate alternative methods of performance to you and after trying them all you can determine which way suits you best.

A typical course will be run as follows:

Pre-study
Sign up for course, Pick up crew pack, Start self study

Classroom 1
Evening at Adventures 7pm-10pm. Induction, Course Requirements and Video.

Classroom 2
Hand in Knowledge Reviews. Review of Modules 1-5. Final Exam

Pool 1
Billericay Pool 9pm-10pm

Pool 2
Billericay Pool 9pm-10pm

Followed by a weekend away at Open Water on a date and placed fixed before the Course Commences.

 

All courses are £249
All course costs include all PADI materials, instruction, certification.
Extras include travel, accommodation (optional), entry to the dive site (approx. £9 per day for two days at Stoney, £6 per day for two days at Guildenburgh), Equipment Hire (£35 for 2 days) and air.
